Additionally, click here to read our new member FAQ.The semester of membership in the Junior League of Charlottesville (JLC) is spent as a Provisional Member. As a group, Provisionals receive volunteer training and leadership development while learning about the history, governance, and structure of the JLC.
There are two cycles for the Provisional class. The first cycle is August-December and the second is January-March. Those who complete the Provisional training will the become Active members in the JLC. Provisionals are required to attend meetings and participate in community service events throughout the semester that will help them prepare for becoming an Active member. They must also meet certain financial commitments and successfully complete the Provisional Training Course.
Note: Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, some JLC events may be adjusted into a virtual format to adhere to social distancing guidelines and requirements.
