 Starr Hill Park Improvement Project
The Provisional Class of the Junior League of Charlottesville, in partnership with the Charlottesville Parks and Recreation Department, recently renovated Starr Hill Park. With the manpower and dollars raised by the Junior League’s 2009 Provisional Class, the park now features new plantings, trees, benches and a dog walk. The park has an eco-friendly rain garden, a depressed area that allows rainwater runoff to be absorbed into plantings as opposed to going into storm drains. Additionally, Junior League members contributed a mosaic stepping stone display made by members of the League.
