What is Tinsel Trail?
Tinsel Trail is a display of live holiday trees at the Stonefield Green at The Shops at Stonefield. An anticipated 100 trees will decorate the Green during the holiday season. Tinsel Trail is intended to promote community and brighten the holiday season in Charlottesville.

Where is it located?
At the Stonefield Green located at The Shops at Stonefield.

When does Tinsel Trail open and how long does it last?
Tinsel Trail will be open from November 26, 2022 – January 2, 2023.

What are the hours of Tinsel Trail?
Trees will be illuminated from dusk until midnight daily but can also be enjoyed during the daytime.

Is there a cost to attend Tinsel Trail?
No! This is a free community event!

Where can I park to access Tinsel Trail?
Parking is available throughout The Shops at Stonefield.

Who decorates the trees?
Tinsel Trail trees are sponsored and decorated by local businesses, organizations, families, groups and individuals.

How can I participate?
Sponsoring a tree is a great way to market your business, be creative, and promote a sense of community and cheer during the holiday season Visit the Sponsor a Tree section for details.

If you’d like to participate but don’t have time to decorate a tree, just let us know and we’ll donate your tree to a local nonprofit organization.

Can I provide my own yard sign?
No, in order to ensure a cohesive look across the event, we are asking that sponsors only utilize the yard signs provided by the JLC.

What payment options do I have for sponsoring a tree?
Payments can be submitted online here, or checks can be mailed to:
Treasurer, JLC, PO Box 292, Charlottesville, VA 22902

*Trees will not be reserved until payment is received.
